M. M. Modi College, Patiala won Punjabi University Overall Inter College Soft Tennis Championship by defeating Boys team of Govt. Rajindra College, Bathinda and Girls team of National College of Physical Education, Chupki. The Inter-College Championship was organised at Punjabi University Campus, Patiala. Modi college Boys team was represented by Bobby, Ankit, Paras, Karanjeet Singh, Harjeet Singh and Vishal. The Girls team was comprising of Muskan Rani, Diksha Sharma, Shubhangani, Sargun Singh, Sargun Kaur and Lovepreet.
College Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal congratulated the team members and assured that college will keep on providing the best facilities to the college sports persons.
Dean Sports, Dr. Nishan Singh congratulated the staff members of the sports department and all other officials who contributed to the successful conclusion of the tournament. He appreciated the efforts of Dr. Harneet Singh and Prof. Mandeep Kaur in the smooth conduct of matches and guidance provided to the sportspersons.

ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਸੰਪੰਨ ਹੋਈ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਸਾਫ਼ਟ ਟੈਨਿਸ ਅੰਤਰ-ਕਾਲਜ ਓਵਰਆਲ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ (ਲੜਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ) ਦੀ ਟਰਾਫੀ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ (ਲੜਕਿਆਂ) ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਰਜਿੰਦਰਾ ਕਾਲਜ, ਬਠਿੰਡਾ ਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ (ਲੜਕੀਆਂ) ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਕਾਲਜ ਆਫ਼ ਫ਼ਿਜ਼ੀਕਲ ਐਜੂਕੇਸ਼ਨ, ਚੁਪਕੀ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਕੇ ਇਹ ਅੰਤਰ-ਕਾਲਜ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਜੇਤੂ ਲੜਕਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੌਬੀ, ਅੰਕਿਤ, ਪਾਰਸ, ਕਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਹਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਸਕਾਨ ਰਾਣੀ, ਦਿਕਸ਼ਾ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਸ਼ੁਭਾਂਗਨੀ, ਸਰਗੁਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸਰਗੁਨ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਲਵਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ। ਜੇਤੂ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਅਵਸਰ ਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਬਾਦ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਇਸ ਖੇਡ-ਭਾਵਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਲ਼ੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਸਮਾਜ ਸਿਰਜਣ ਲਈ ਕਾਇਮ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਇਸ ਅਵਸਰ ਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਖੇਡ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਡਾ. ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਡਾ. ਹਰਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸ਼ਾ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੀ।
